About Ellie
Ellie entered the world on January 30th 2021. She was the first one born (I’m starting to see a trend here), and by the time she turned 6 weeks old, she was bossing around the litter, and had “picked me”. Good thing she was also my pick, because she had already made her claim here. She is a very active girl with a lot of drive, so agility is right up her alley…well ANY activity- is right up her alley. Her prey drive is also strong, so no surprise tug and fetch are her favorite games, and a BCAT title was earned in 3 trials.
Ellie became a Champion of record on August 21, 2022, and is my second CH to be finished out of the Bred-by class. She entered her first agility trial on June 18th, and earned legs in both Standard and Jumpers with Weaves, and earned her first agility title on Oct 1, 2022. Ellie finished her first year competing in agility ranked #1 in STDpreferred by Pug Dog Club of America, and has continued to hold the #1 spot in PDCA agility rankings and Bad Dog Agility Breed Power 10. She is also climbing up the ranks in rally. Ellie is my busy girl, that never leaves my side -even more than the typical velcro Pug…she is superglued to me. Ellie has turned out to be a terrific “Auntie” with the puppies, and enjoys “showing them the ropes”…she insists on being involved with most everything -at all times.
Motherhood was not in the cards for her, and so we had a hiatus from breeding, which allowed us to focus on her agility career. Ellie became my first PACH Pug on 8/10/25, and is currently only the 4th Pug to hold dual Champion Titles in both Breed and Agility. She is the first one to do this as a Bred-by, which I am extremely proud of. I have always wanted to show that Pugs “Can Do It ALL” and prove that breed standard Pugs CAN excel in athletic sports as well. They can be conformationally correct, beautiful – bred to the Pug breed standard, while being healthy and athletic. Although she did not get to pass on her genes, it seems instead, she was meant to serve as an ambassador for my breeding program, but also for the Pug breed. The window of opportunity to achieve this, would not have been possible while taking maternity leaves.
The hiatus also allowed us to enter the Westminster Kennel Club Masters Agility Championship. Running in that trial was a bucket list dream come true. We also were able to travel to CA to attend the AKC National Agility Championship. These are all things that are extremely difficult, dare I say impossible, to do if you are actively breeding. I have turned disappointment into a golden opportunity, and Ellie has not let me down.
